Description
Beautifully converted small barn originally used for stabling shire horses. Set in a peaceful but convenient rural location in the South Hams, a short drive from Totnes and within easy reach of both the South Devon coast and Dartmoor.
Front door opens into the very well designed and equipped kitchen and dining area with fridge freezer, gas hob, electric oven, microwave, washing machine and dish washer. The water supply is from a natural spring that supplies the houses in the valley. To the right are the stairs to the first floor and the sitting room with wood burning stove, modern sofa and arm chairs, TV and DVD player and sound system. French windows open onto terrace with garden furniture, large garden with views over rolling Devon countryside. Upstairs to the right is the larger bedroom with 1 double bed and to the left the bath and shower room and the smaller bedroom with twin beds.
There is an acre of garden, a meadow rich in wild flowers being managed for habitat creation with extensive planting of native species of broadleaved trees and fruit trees. There is a stream and wetland area, an ideal spot for bird watching, being visited by Wildfowl and King Fishers as well as the local population of Little Owls, Barn Owls and Kestrels. Tai Chi and Yoga teaching is also available onsite at individual and small group rates. This could be one-off taster sessions or more intensive weekend or week long courses. If you are interested in this then please indicate at time of booking.
